With January coming up fast and schools planning on reopening around legislation for new health and safety, the need for temporary staff will be at an all time high due to self isolating and shielding. This isn't including the usual need for maternity cover, long term sick and absence whilst hiring permanently for a role.
For this reason I am looking to register Schools Business Managers across central Bristol for contractual work in January.

Your new company
A primary or Secondary school based in central Bristol. Hays will offer full support during your contract and you will have one point of contact throughout.

Your new role
The School Business Manager is responsible for maintaining the school's financial Systems as required which will include raising of Purchase Orders, invoice payments and account reconciliation. Ensuring that th financial transactions in the school are carried out in an appropriate manner and that the financial standard regulations of the school are observed. The role may also involve taking on tasks from HR when required, payroll and management of the office staff. This can be an exceptionally varied role with every school having different requirements as set by the Head Teacher. Generally, the position will be full time and the hours will be approximately 8am-4pm, term time only. Positions can be as short as a week, or as long as one academic year.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have the experience of working in a school/education setting with experience of SMS and BCS systems and understand school financial systems either in a business manager role, or a finance manager role. You will also have some experience with managing other staff within an office environment.
