Team Manager - Safeguarding and Quality Assurance - Luton, Bedfordshire

Connect2Luton are working exclusively with Luton Borough Council to recruit an experienced Team Manager to lead and managed the Safeguarding ad Quality Assurance Team.

The Role

As the Team Manager of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance team you will you lead and managed direct and will be responsible for the resources and budgets in order to review and drive good practice standards and outcomes for Children who are subject of a child protection plan.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage the audit programme to provide an overview of current practice and performance and work with the Principal Social worker to enable a shared understanding of What good looks like

To support the LADDO function and contribute to and support effective inter-agency working including MAPPA, and the work of the Luton Safeguarding Children Board.

To provide advice and guidance to the Social work staff on the application of threshold, statutory requirements, and quality standards, and to other professional as required.

Key skills and experience

You will have previous experience in a statutory social care field, ideally with an emphasis on Safeguarding and Child protection.

Working experience of advising, coaching and supporting staff members. Along with being able to manage and motivate and develop a children's statutory social care QA team.

If you have previous experience of Chairing children protection conference and/or undertaking the statutory review of LAC care plans and experience of working within fostering services, this would be highly desirable.

Demonstrable experience of complex decision making.

An enhanced DBS Certificate which is satisfactory to Luton Borough Council will be a condition of your appointment.
