Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant or sports coach looking for a new challenge in a small Primary School in Manchester?

Prospero Teaching are working with a small Primary School based in Manchester.

The school are looking for a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant/Sports Coach to work across Key Stage 2. The role includes mentoring students who show challenging behaviour, working alongside the class teacher to support the teaching and learning and instruct small sports sessions throughout the week.

This is a long-term role starting in December. The post will be full time and until the end of the academic year.

Contract/Position.

Position - KS2 Sports Coach/Behaviour Mentor.

  • Start date - December 2020.
    * Likely Duration - July 2021.
    * Position end date - July 2021.
    * Contract type - Temporary leading to full time for the right candidate.
    * Pay - To be discussed at interview.
    * Hours - 8:30am-4pm (term time only)

Experience, Training and Qualifications.
  • Experience as a Teaching assistant or sports coach within a School setting.
  • Experience working 1-1 with a child or young person.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification or higher.

Job specifications
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 2 is essential.
  • Experience in coaching sports to KS2 aged children.
  • Have a Level 2 Qualification or higher.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Check if applicable
  • EXPERIENCE WITH CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR IS A MUST.

The school is based in Tameside, with excellent public transport links to the School.
