Based at Cornwall College St Austell we are looking for an experienced individual to work as part of our new Creative and Digital Academy as Study Programme Manager for L2 Art & Design. You will work with the Curriculum Area Manager to develop curricula and ensure coherence between the assessment units and wider industry style projects, supporting students and helping them to make a smooth transition into Higher Education, Sustainable Employment or Apprenticeship.

The post will include some pastoral care through personal tutoring. You’ll be working in a creative setting where cross collaboration with all of the subjects of TCDA is encouraged and developing links with the local and wider industry is a must. Your ideas and proactive action in recruiting to the course and ensuring its sustainability will be supported and continually encouraged.

The ability to work flexibly across disciplines, experience of a range of teaching methods, support for group and individual work and working as part of a team, delivering workshops and practical sessions is vital. You will be expected to have specialist understanding of textiles and or Ceramics work on top of wider art and design knowledge and experience and where possible 3D skills.

The Creative and Digital Academy is home to those who are practising creatives and outstanding teachers in their own right. You’ll feel at home amidst the fast paced and continually developing department, enjoying the receipt of feedback and working as a team to develop the quality of the learner experience as well as the outward facing profile of TCDA.

The job description and person specification for this role provides full details of the scope and accountabilities, and the skills, qualifications and attributes needed.
