Five Education is supporting a primary school based in Bristol City Centre who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 4 child with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs). The ideal candidates for this school will be positive, proactive and patient.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Working with the class teacher to help engage children as much as possible.
  • Working with the class teacher on differentiation and helping the children to access the curriculum
  • Working with small groups or in a 1:1 setting
  • Be flexible and willing to work with children outside the classroom
  • Providing a positive role model for young people

Essential Criteria:
  • At least 12 months experience supporting children in education
  • A flexible and resourceful approach
  • You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
  • Confident and able to build relationships with the pupils
  • Experience working with children with SEMH would be an advantage
  • Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
  • Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks
  • Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes.
  • Able to work 8.30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only.
