Clinical Testing Supervisor

Required from 2nd December to 11th December but additional opportunities may rise for this post to be extended. Hours - 0800 to 1800

As Testing Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the testing on site is conducted in a manner compliant with the relevant NHS Standard Operating Procedures. The role will involve:
  • Supervising the end-to-end testing process, ensuring compliance with the SOP and with appropriate regulations.
  • Reviewing test workforce planning, including rota, cross coverage and leave plans.
  • Reviewing service delivery plans relating to sample analysis, results recording and reporting.
  • Establishing and maintaining a quality management system for the testing site.
  • Taking responsibility for site quality governance including incident reporting, assessments, and risk mitigation.
  • Supporting the Site Manager in ensuring health and safety guidance is appropriately followed.
  • Reviewing compliance with all infection control and clinical waste disposal procedures.
  • Working with the Site Manager to ensure test and PPE stock levels are adequately maintained.
  • Applicants should have previous experience in a clinical or medical environment, or previous laboratory management experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. It would be advantageous for applicants to have experience in virology, infectious diseases, clinical audits, quality management systems, training, and the development of SOPs
  • Applicants must be committed to the work and able to follow the strict guidelines and procedures required.

Full Personal Protective Equipment will be supplied in line with NHS standards. Undertake training on PPE and ensure it is worn as required. Full training will be provided. This training is mandatory. We will be in touch with further information.
