Location: Leeds

Start Date: January 2021

Salary: £100 - £180 per day

Reed Education’s SEN team work in partnership with an alternative provision in the Leeds area which caters for young people aged 11-16 who have previously struggled with mainstream education

The school are looking for a SEN teacher to join them on temporary basis from January 2021 however they are looking to recruit permanently at some point in the new year.

The role:

• To teach Food Tech and Woodwork, and other subjects if required

• To plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons that develop a love of learning in students

• To teach small groups of students

• To support in developing the wellbeing and communication levels of students

• To ensure appropriate accreditation is achieved by relevant students

What you will need:
  • Experience working as a qualified teacher
  • Ideally you will have worked with learners with a range of needs
  • Be able to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
  • These young people need consistency and so you need to be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
