Are you an experienced Teacher of Sociology who is looking for a flexible role?

Can you deliver motivational lessons whilst maintaining good behaviour management in the classroom?

Due to a recent demand from our partnership secondary schools in Staffordshire and the Cheshire East, Academics are currently recruiting both experienced and newly qualified (NQT) sociology teachers. The roles that we offer currently are predominantly daily supply or short-term contracts; however, these roles do sometimes have the potential of turning into long-term contracts.

As a Sociology Teacher you would essentially:
  • Have a proven track record of working with students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Be an outstanding communicator and motivator in the classroom.
  • Have a QTS, QTLS, or NQT teaching status.
  • Deliver exciting and engaging sociology lessons using your own initiative
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
  • Develop curriculum content with a creative approach.

Academics are a leading national education agency that specialises in the recruitment of permanent, long term and daily supply teachers and support staff. As an Academic's Sociology Teacher you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you with your career and who will give you access to a variety of opportunities, all at great rates of pay.
