Venn Group would like to introduce the following Support Worker position available in Manchester
Position: Housing First Support Worker
Location: Manchester â€" central
Rate: £13.73 p/hour inc of holiday pay (Umbrella rate)
Length: 2 months
Hours: 37.5 hours, Mon â€" Fri, 9am â€" 5pm
The role will predominantly involve:
The successful candidate must be available to start from next week, have worked in a similar position previously and have an Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service

The role will predominantly involve:
- Providing Housing First Support to a caseload of 6 females
- Working with entrenched rough sleepers and a homeless case load
- Supporting customers in to housing and getting the off the streets in to housing
- Creating support plans of clients support needs and any associated risks for a caseload of 6 female clients
- Setting agreed goals with clients in order from them to maintain their independence and worked with clients and other agencies where necessary to ensure they were achieved
- Liaising with various external agencies ensuring that there were mechanisms in place between the service and external agencies to facilitate and enable joint working
- Attending various multi-agency meetings
- Advising clients of their benefit and welfare entitlement and offered advice and guidance on budgeting issues
- Supporting clients with other life skills such as cooking
- Signposting clients to relevant agencies to offer them the highest level of support
- Advocating on behalf of service users with various external agencies
