Morgan Hunt is working with a regulatory body to find a Head of External Relations.
This is a temporary role until April-May with a potential of going permanent. The role is a mixture of working from home and working from the central London office depending on the government guidelines. The role pays £220.14- £258.62 per day depending on experience.

The new Head of External Relations will
- Develop external positions, target priority outlets and journalists, and proactively create, shape and place media stories, articles and interviews which help support the achievement of regulatory outcomes.
- Deliver media activity to support the organisations products, campaigns, events and reports, ensuring the press office anticipates and plans effectively for key events and cases. The new Head of External Relations will act as a spokesperson for the organisation in the media.
- Ensure a strategic approach to engaging with Parliament, to which the organisation is accountable. Advising the Board, CEO, Executive and senior staff across the organisation on all matters relating to Parliamentary and key stakeholder relations.
- Ensures that strong internal relationships are built with a good understanding of the organisations work, and that all the media spokespeople are appropriately trained, briefed and supported.
The ideal candidate for the Head of External Relations will have
- Previous experience in Parliamentary and stakeholder relations- day to day, meeting deadlines for PQs, correspondence and ministerial briefings and monitoring Parliamentary events.
- Experience in building strong relationships with media and acting as a spokesperson for a regulatory body. Ability to strategically target priority outlets and proactively create and place media stories, articles and interviews which help support the achievement of regulatory outcomes.
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills and the proven ability to build trust quickly; particularly building effective relationships with Board, senior staff across the Commission and with key external stakeholders
- A Proven track record of successful leadership and direct management and development of staff with demonstrable experience of building a high performing team with a culture of continuous improvement
