Band 8c Associate Director of Operations- Safety, Quality and Professional Practice

We are looking to appoint a senior clinician with Mental Health experience, able to lead on the Safety and Quality agenda within the Mental Health Directorate at the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust for a 3-month interim role.

  • Band 8c Interim Role for a minimum of 3 months from commencement date.
  • Location: The Caludon Centre, Clifford Bridge Rd, Coventry CV2 2TE
  • Band 8c Pay Rate - £32.60 per hour. Holiday pay is accrued and payable on top.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5pm, 37.5 hpw

Key Skills ;
  • Professional clinical qualification
  • Educated to first degree level
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience relevant to the role and evidence of training in leadership.
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge, underpinned by experience and theory
  • Planniung and organisational skills
  • Analytical abilities - understanding complex reports both in terms of performance management and planning and in respect of HR functions and supporting staff in delivery of quality services.
  • Show understanding of leadership and influencing skills with demonstrable application where line management responsibilities
  • Be able to demonstrate a breadth of experience in managing people and situations where significant challenges to service delivery are present
  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to meet deadlines within a pressured environment.
    Be able to take responsibility and shoulder accountability.
    Abilities required that would enable the post holder to perform effectively in the role - motivated, enthusiastic, deadlines, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexibly and balance hours of work to meet service need. Will be required to travel (car driver) and on occasion work outside normally accepted hours in order to ensure service delivery over a 24 hour day period

About the Role -
  • Lead, co-ordinate and implement the clinical quality, safety and governance agenda across the directorate. This includes professional leadership, professional development, training and education, safety, quality and risk management.
  • To work with members of the senior leadership team and executive team to formulate and ensure the delivery of the Trust corporate strategies, clinical strategy and strategic
  • Work across the organisation to provide professional advice and guidance, including support with supervision and clinical leadership within the directorate and across the operational division.
  • Lead on behalf of the directorate the development of a joint clinical strategy.
  • Ensure that professionals contribute to and influence business and service planning and developments.
  • Actively promote modernisation and new ways of working activity across the directorate and operational division.
  • Lead the safeguarding children and adult agenda within the directorate.
  • Provide jointly lead the directorate, forming a tripartite relationship with the Associate Director of Operations and Associate Medical Director.
