Night Support Worker for Adults with Learning Disabilities

An exciting opportunity for a night support worker has arisen in Leeds. If you have 6 months experience working in a support worker capacity, then this role could be perfect for you!

Reed Health and Care are searching for Night Support Workers throughout Leeds, you will have access to a pension scheme and excellent employment perks whilst working in a supported living unit. You would be working with our client, an expert care provider for those who require assistance but wish to live in their own home.

What we are looking for:

• Someone with 6 months experience working in a Support Worker capacity.

• A motivated, hardworking and compassionate person.

• A desire to make a real difference in adult’s lives, through working with them in their own homes.

Your main duties would be:

• Providing personal care for adults with learning disabilities and Autism and supporting them in day to day tasks, as well as offering mental and physical support.

• Administering medication as needed.

• Promote independent living skills and ensure the adults retain their independence through maintaining their dignity and choice.

• Deliver housing related support, social and personal care utilising a person-centred approach which is tailored to their individual needs and desires.

• Maintain a safe environment through the utilisation of support plans and person-centred risk assessments.

• Respect the confidential nature of the work, remain within the appropriate information sharing protocol and ensure awareness of policies.

• Value the adult’s wellbeing and safeguard them from abuse, ensure that you report all safeguarding concerns to line management.

• Facilitate adults in your care on outings, trips and holidays.

• Attend and actively participate in meetings, training and supervision as required.

It is vital to us, and our Client, that these adults are able to live as independently as possible with the aid of their support workers.
