I am seeking an experienced Family Support Worker with experience supporting children, young people and their families both residentially and in the community. As a Family Support Worker you will be addressing issues ranging from substance misuse, domestic violence, parental ability, poverty, poverty and housing.

I am seeking an experienced Family Support Worker with experience supporting children, young people and their families both residentially and in the community. As a Family Support Worker you will be addressing issues ranging from substance misuse, domestic violence, parental ability, poverty, poverty and housing.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking parenting assessments
- Working preventatively with identified families to provide early intervention, signposting, support and guidance in times of change and stress
- Offering Support to families on parenting skills, behaviour management, play and practical support
- Promoting resettlement into employment or education
- Provide advice and support to customers using Council procedures and policies
- You will liaise closely with social workers, mental health specialists, children's nurses, health visitors, midwives, psychiatrists and psychologists and teachers
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in social Work
- 2+ years’ experience in Family support worker role or similar
- Experience developing risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, working with complex families who have suffered trauma, providing education workshops to develop families knowledge around parenting
