Celsian Education is recruiting for Learning Mentors to work in a Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit based in Manchester from January.

The unit caters for students who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Students attend the unit for varying periods of time ranging from a number of weeks to years.

We are seeking to appoint Learning Mentors to support and deliver teaching and learning of the school curriculum.

You will be part of a team promoting positive learning experiences.

The successful candidate will:
· Be innovative
· Be calm, yet enthusiastic and charismatic
· Ability to use own initiative
· Have experience of working with social, emotional and health issues
· Have a passion for engaging pupils using imaginative strategies
· Be able to build strong relationships with both students and staff
· Be flexible and an effective team player
· Have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students
