Legal Cashier
Temporary Ongoing
Based Leeds city centre - will also be required to work remotely from home.
£10.00 - £12.00 per hour
Hours of Work Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00
Purpose of Role:
This is a post for a Cashier to support the Accounts Team. The post would be ideally suited to someone interested in temporary assignment. We will consider full time hours for this role. The Cashier will join a busy team liaising with partners and fee earners [detail work to be completed]. It is not expected that the Cashier will have previous legal experience, but any financial experience in professional services would be an advantage. The candidate will have the ability to work with limited supervision and have a proactive approach in supporting the team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
*File opening
*Client billing and credit note posting on sales ledger
*Invoice and credit note posting on purchase ledger
*Electronic payment processing (BACS & CHAPS)
*Processing receipts received electronically into both office and client account
*Petty cash and expenses processing
*Client contact will usually be through, or with, the acting fee earner/partner.
Experience
*Minimum of 5 years experience in a legal cashiering role
*Competent in Microsoft Excel
*The ability to liaise and build strong relationships will all employees across the firm
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Maintain high level of confidentiality working in a professional environment
*Taking responsibility and being accountable for work performed
*Experience of using Artiion would be preferred although not essential as full training will be given
