Designated Nurse for Looked After Children
Venn Group are currently working with an NHS organisation in the South East who are looking for a Designated Nurse for Looked after Children to join the team immediately.

The Designated Nurse for Looked After Children will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and expert advice in relation to health services for Looked After Children
- Working alongside the Designated Doctor for Looked After Children to ensure work streams and programmes are effectively planned and carried out across the area
- Ensuring the organisation meets all statutory responsibilities to provide services to improve the health of Looked After Children
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant guidance and legislation for Looked After Children
- Supervision of specialist Looked After Children professionals across the area
It is essential that the Designated Nurse for Looked After Children must have the following skills and experience:
- Nursing qualification with emphasis on child health
- Expert knowledge and evidence of continuing professional development in working with Looked After Children
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including but not limited to The Children Act 1989 and 2004, Promoting the Health and Wellbeing of Looked After Children -2015 and NICE - Promoting the quality of life of looked-after children and young people- No 28-2010
