Senior Management Accountant

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation in Greater Manchester, who are looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on an interim basis for an initial 6 month period.

Duties will include;

• Overseeing the monthly monitoring of the financial performance, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard within the agreed timescales
• Providing interpretation of the monthly data and action plans for correction of variances and achievement of plan
• Producing and presenting financial reports to senior management
• Ad hoc projects within finance including costings and unpicking expenditure
• The day-to-day line management for a team including, briefings, staff appraisals, training, delegation and overseeing the finance team

Person:

• Public Sector experience is essential
• Qualified accountant with appropriate post qualification experience
• Experience in delivering key project and process changes
• The post holder will be responsible for supporting senior managers
