One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. As the only UK charity for people affected by all lung and respiratory diseases â€" from mild asthma through to lung cancer â€" the Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation Partnership is here for every one of them. We provide support, fund vital research, and campaign for better prevention, treatment and care.

We’re looking for a Head of Health Advice to join us in our mission to support people with lung disease. You’ll have a background in developing and delivering consumer advice through digital channels, a deep commitment in the power of advice to support people to change their lives for the better, and the ability to slot effectively into a highly collaborative job share.

Sitting within the Services directorate, the Health Advice Team plays a key role in our goal of improving lung condition self-management, working alongside the User Experience team to reshape consumer health advice and support at scale.

You’ll lead the team providing comprehensive advice across our three lung health brands, The British Lung Foundation, Asthma UK and the Post Covid Hub. You’ll be charged with optimising this advice to reach our priority audiences, and ensuring continuous improvement towards our goal of actionable, effective, engaging, relevant advice that supports people to better self-manage their condition.

You’ll also contribute to our innovative advice product development, working with internal and external teams to create advice tools and programmes, often in partnership with major funders or the NHS, to meet the needs of people with lung conditions.

You will be a skilled communicator and team leader, with a wealth of experience in consumer advice delivery and digital product development. In our recently merged organisation, you’ll need to be cause-driven and collaborative. With a strong sense of purpose, you’ll aim to get the best out of your team and ensure our health advice continues to improve, develop and reach new audiences.

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits including our cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan, 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and much more.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation committed to supporting everyone whose life is changed by lung disease.
