Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Night Care Assistant work in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying from £12.00 - £15.00 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company). Candidates will need to work waking night shifts - 9pm - 8am. 25.66 hours per week. Rolling rota as follows - rolling rota pattern 2 days off - 2 days on, 3 days off - 2 days on, 9 days off- 3 days on.

The role:

To work as part of a team to attend to the personal, social and emotional needs of the residents.

The prime concern is to act in the best interest of the residents at all times and to enable them to reach their full potential without loss of dignity or any intrusion into their rights or beliefs as an individual.

In view of the nature of the work, no information concerning service users must be communicated to anyone who is not either employed by the Department or attending the service user in a professional capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
    To be mindful of the rights of residents including the need to encourage them to maintain and achieve maximum independence. To advise and assist with physical needs e.g. assistance with dressing, washing, cooking tasks, personal laundry, housework, assistance with matters relating to personal hygiene and care.
    To take responsibility for the welfare of residents throughout the night.

    To ensure the safeguarding and administering of drugs and medicines where necessary and in accordance with Departmental procedures.

    To undertake, as directed, checks on residents and ensure as far as possible that they are comfortable e.g. turning residents, providing drinks etc.

    To observe and monitor changes in the residents' health, mood and behaviour and report such changes to the appropriate care coordinator (Shift Leader).

    To respect the residents rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality.

    Applicant Requirements:
    • Qualifications: NVQ Health and Social Care.
    • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
    • Compliance: Current DBS check.
    • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
    • Hours: 25.66 hours p/w (over time would be available if you would like it).
