Media Studies Teacher
Media Studies Teacher needed until the end of the academic year, Walsall LA School
Hays Education are currently working alongside a Walsall School to support an interim temporary position for a Media Teacher (KS5) until the end of the academic year.
This is a full-time contract to start in January, potentially sooner until July 2021. Informal visits to the school can be arranged prior to acceptance directly with Hays Education.
Your new role
In your new teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school to teacher Media to KS5. Ideally you will also be able to offer English as a second subject, however it is not necessary.
Whilst working as a temporary teacher you will be responsible for developing the students and guiding them on ways to improve. You will plan and prepare lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students.

In return, you will be paid to scale from day one of the assignment and will also be working in a successful department, therefore learning from others and developing your own skills and experience. - You will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year.
- You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes
- You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times.
- You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
