Learning Support Assistant
Provide additional learning support to students who have been assessed as requiring support to enable them to actively access and effectively participate in learning. Carry out personal care, intimate care, mobility assistance and health care, depending on the students assigned to the LSA and their Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), for which, specific training will be provided.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for this role therefore a minimum of level 2 literacy and numeracy are essential. The successful applicant will need to have an experience of working with teenagers or young adults in a support environment. Knowledge of a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities is essential as is the ability to inspire and motivate students.
