An experienced Interim Procurement Manager is needed for this SME Social Enterprise based in the North West. The role will be WFH in line with the current COVID restrictions and is expected to be on a rolling month-by-month basis covering sick leave/absence.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be proactive support in managing and maintaining a procurement service and contract management.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing the tender process on any tenders currently in the pipeline and oversee the procurement and tendering of any new contracts or retenders that may arise during the interim period:
    • These can include areas such as Company Insurances, Utility Contracts, major equipment lease and purchase, vehicles, phones, IT contracts, furniture, Agency staff contracts, consultants, service provision, etc.
  • Managing the contracts area to ensure it is kept up to date for relevant stakeholders including things such as Service Level Agreements (SLAs), leases and ensuring management agreements remain fit for purpose, are managed effectively and assist in contract negotiations where required
  • Provide procurement and contract advice and support to the Leadership Team, Board members, and Managers
  • Ensure all tender processes comply with legislation, company policies and procedures, and good practice relating to procurement activity
  • Monitor suppliers and contractors’ performance in line with contract/SLA’s and legislative requirements

THE PERSON

You will ideally be a professional Qualified Procurement manager with experience in contract management and procurement tender management. You will have strong contract performance management experience from within a highly regulated sector, and the ability to hit the ground running in a remote working environment. You will have a proactive approach and be used to supporting the senior management team.

All candidates will need to be immediately available or on very short notice to start and will have to pass a DBS check (undertaken by BT&S) so candidates with an existing DBS would be beneficial.
