Learning & Development Partner
Do you want to develop and shape learning for your colleagues?
You’ll be working towards providing a positive employee experience through driving a culture of learning for our colleagues. You’ll be known as an “Employee Experience & Organisational Learning Partner”, working alongside John, Mei & Kirsty delivering and creating learning interventions for all colleagues across the organisation. A meet and greet with the team is included in the selection process.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside the two partners (that’s Mei and Kirsty) and wider team to create and deliver engaging and innovative learning interventions that improve the employee experience and enable business transformation.
You’ll be supporting the design and delivery of leadership development programmes, embedding Diversity & Inclusion initiatives into our colleague learning offer and supporting the delivery of our change management programme.
You’ll be supporting the development of an attractive learning offer for all colleagues ensuring we are developing our people to meet the needs of the business both now and in the future. Working with external providers and programme management is also a key part of the role to ensure we meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
You’ll come to us with a background and experience in learning and development, having experience in delivering training interventions, both face to face and virtually. You don’t need a qualification; you just need to demonstrate that you have experience and how you have used this to foster a learning culture.
You’ll need to show us how you have supported colleagues through change and be able to talk through the change management experience you have, as this will be a key area of focus for you when you start.
Designing creative and engaging training interventions would be an advantage, but an enthusiasm for learning is a must. You’ll be joining a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about learning and understand the importance of learning and development in improving our employee offer and experience.
You can work in a way that’s best for you, whether that be in the office, at home or in your local coffee shop, wherever you thrive best is best for us too! Currently, you’ll be working at home until April 2021 at the earliest, but when our offices reopen, you could be out and about travelling to our local offices so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

About Aster Group
We’re a not-for-dividend business established in 1990 and have over £1.6 billion worth of assets. We own and maintain over 30,000 homes, provide services to approximately 90,000 customers and employ 1,300 people. The Aster Foundation is our way of giving something back. It’s the work we choose to do over and above our landlord and development activities.
Now is a really exciting time to join us. We’re working towards our vision of everyone has a home. It’s a bold statement but one everyone across our business is passionate about. Our purpose is to improve people’s lives. We provide safety and security through our reliable landlord services and we supply a wide range of housing options in response to the housing crisis. We believe that work isn’t somewhere you go, it’s something you do. No two days are the same here, and agile working is the norm rather than the exception.
We’re on an exciting transformation journey. Our business strategy is clear. Our vision is bold. And what sets us apart is The Aster Way. The Aster Way is not just a set of words. It’s a shared understanding of the way we work – creating a fair and inclusive culture. It’s a set of straightforward principles that underpin everything we do, every day. From how we lead and learn, to how we collaborate, communicate and innovate, this is how we’ll reach our vision - that everyone has a home.
