ICT SEN Teacher for Further Education Setting

Your new school
You will be employed through Hays Education and carry out a placement at a FE setting that caters to ages 16-25. The setting provides an education to young people who have a diverse range of special educational needs.The college has a bespoke and individual approach to learning that supports the students in preparation for adult life and independence. Both academic and personal growth is important.

Your new role
You will be required to teach ICT classes/courses to learners and be able to differentiate to suit a variety of learning needs and styles. You will work closely with specialist learning support assistants to ensure all students have the correct support. You will also be responsible for the planning and preparation for the lessons that you deliver.

What you'll need to succeed
A qualified ICT Teacher with SEN/FE experience is desired but not essential. You will need to have experience teaching in a secondary school as a minimum and have a good understanding of special educational needs. You will need to have a nurturing and collaborative approach to teaching and have confident behaviour management skills.

What you'll get in return
The role is expected to start after February half term and is initially for 2 months with a possible extension. You will also be able to be put forward for other roles in SEN and mainstream schools should the role not be extended.
