Five Education are excited to be working with an 'outstanding' primary school based in South Bristol who is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 child with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs). The ideal candidates for this school will be positive, proactive and patient.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Working with the class teacher to help engage the child as much as possible
  • Managing the child's behaviour, which at times can be challenging
  • Use tools to make lessons exciting and engaging for the child, to prevent absconding
  • Adopting a flexible and patient approach
  • Provide a positive role model and maintain a positive working relationship

Essential Criteria:
  • At least 12 months experience supporting children in education
  • A flexible and resourceful approach
  • You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
  • Experience using behaviour management tools
  • Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
  • Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks
  • Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes.
  • Able to work 8.30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only.
