Behaviour Mentor Required, Nottingham

Hays Education are working with a secondary school in Nottingham who are requiring a behaviour mentor to support them in their on site pupil referral unit.

Your new role

In this new role you will be working with children aged 11 - 17 all who have a high level of challenging behaviour. You will work with them either on a 1:1 or small group basis depending on what the job demands and will be required to report to member to SLT on these pupils on a regular basis as well a being a calming and approachable person for these pupils to talk to and interact with. You will promote positive behaviour and change and will promote team building in a positive way.

What you'll need to succeed
in order to succeed in this role you must have previous and recent experience working with children who have a high level of challenging behaviour and work experience in a PRU or Alternative provision would be beneficial. You will be flexible in your approach and be able to adapt when working with a variety of children across all different age groups.
