We are looking for an experienced Year 5/6 Teacher who has a strong understanding of the national curriculum to support a local primary school in the new year - January 2021. If you're passionate, enthusiastic, dedicated and understand the importance of Key Stage 2 education, we'd love to have you on board!

Our client is an inclusive primary school located in Walton Le Dale Preston, they currently require an experienced KS2 teacher with knowledge of the year 5/6 curriculum to support as soon as possible when term recommences. This is of course pending clearance and checks inline with DFE. The position will be Adhoc based, as and when needed by the client across both year groups.

The role involves confidently working to a different set plan each day to continue raising the attainment of each child in their class teacher's absence. The work will be pre-planned, you will be expected to deliver the work to a high standard and complete full marking in the teacher's absence. Due to the varied needs of the client across both year groups, as a candidate you must have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum with proven experience.

Key responsibilities:
  • Marking work that is completed during the day.
  • Keeping up-to-date records of student's progression and learning.
  • Following set plans to deliver effective lessons.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of all pupil's.
  • Upholding the School's Ethos and Values.
  • Ensuring your weekly availability is up to date.

Essential requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc.)
  • High knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum.
  • Classroom experience.
  • Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
  • DBS.
