Import/Export Assistant - Milton Keynes - Temporary Contract 3 months+. £12-14 per hour.

Do you have strong administrative experience and have previously worked in an import/export role or team?

Are you available to start at short notice and can commit to a contract role for at least 3 months?

If you answered yes to the above then this could be just the role for you.

This organisation offers a customised and bespoke offering to their global customers.

You will have the scope to work with the divisions across Europe and have the autonomy to liaise with various departments and teams. This is a newly created role due to increased workload and requirements with Brexit, meaning it is a great time to join the business and make your mark as they face the challenges and changes ahead.

Reporting to a really supportive Financial Controller and working as part of the finance team, you will be responsible for sales order processing; managing import/export documentation and dealing with the appropriate legislative requirements; liaising with customers and dealing with any queries, including price and order updates; maintaining the customer database and updating records accordingly; and liaising with the wider finance and sales teams.

This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who can work well under pressure and time constraints and someone who can manage problems effectively, with a high level of customer service.

You must have strong IT and spreadsheet skills and have worked in a similar role previously.

The role will include but not be limited to:
  • Sales order processing
  • Liaising with customers and dealing with any queries
  • Import and Export regulation processes
  • Administrative duties and system management

Experience needed:
  • Experience using SAP
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Experience within a similar import/export role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong administration skills
