Based in Tower Hamlets, this SEN Teacher role is with an OUTSTANDING specialist provision for primary aged boys with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Some students will have an additional diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and/or dyspraxia. The school is currently seeking a teacher who can provide effective online learning to pupils unable to attend school.

Pupils attend this Tower Hamlets school because their behavioural difficulties prevent them properly accessing the curriculum in a mainstream environment. The SEN Teacher will work with small class sizes, providing individualised support. The SEN Teacher will support pupils to identify and develop their personality, talents, abilities and aspirations, as well as meeting their special educational needs.

Following the national curriculum for English and Maths, the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is delivered to pupils based on ability rather than age. The school use the Power of Reading programme to enhance literacy and reading skills. For foundation subjects, the school uses the International Primary Curriculum as basis for teaching. This approach is flexible and easily adapted to the pupils' interests and level of understanding.
