Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Service Director based in Moreth, Northumberland. This is a temporary contract initially for 6 months but likely to be extended.

The role:

To provide professional and technical advice on all aspects of Estates and Facilities, Health and Safety and Emergency Planning related issues.

To provide effective leadership, coordination and management of the council's Estates and Facilities, Health and Safety and Emergency Planning, working with stakeholders, partners and local and central government agencies.

To make a positive andeffective contribution to the overall management of Council as part of the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide management and professional advice to the Chief Executive/Head of Paid Service, on all matters of strategy and policy relating to Estates and Facilities , Health and Safety & Emergency Planning. Ensure that all relevant strategic plans, policies and statutory requirements are effectively developed and implemented.
  • Ensure the provision of timely and accurate advice and information on the development and review of policies and strategies related to Estates and Facilities , Health and Safety & Emergency Planning.
  • Determine the most effective utilisation and deployment of resources (Human, Physical and Financial) as part of the Estates and Facilities , Health and Safety & Emergency Planning wider responsibilities on a cross directorate basis in order to implement the Council's priorities and statutory responsibilities within allocated budgets in an imaginative and innovative way.

Applicant Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Band 16 Service Director.
  • Experience: 2+ years working as a Service Director.
  • Compliance: Up to date documents.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
