Due to the Government introducing rapid COVID testing in to schools we have seen an increase in requests from schools looking for support staff who would be interested in taking on the role of COVID testers.

We currently have COVID tester vacancies in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.

About the role
  • Working with either Primary, Secondary Schools or SEN schools to conduct COVID testing on staff and pupils
  • Overseeing tests to ensure they are conducted and recorded correctly
  • Reassuring staff and student who maybe anxious about the testing process and results
  • Confident to pass on test results and offer guidance to those testing positive
  • Understanding of the full safety measure for COVID (social distancing, sanitising, face coverings)
  • Successfully complete a full training programme on how to conduct testing and gather results
  • Full PPE provided

Ideal candidate:
  • Background working or studying in the medical/science field is beneficial but not essential.
  • Approachable, patient and understanding of the anxiety staff and pupils face
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working with children
  • Able to reassure and put people at ease
  • Professional approach to working
  • Calm and resilient under pressure
  • Quick learner who can keep update to date with any government changes
  • In good health and not classified as clinically vulnerable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
