Social Care Project Worker

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. To work with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions, and support them to make and carry out plans towards achieving them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping, you will carry out comprehensive assessments of people new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.
  
• Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client.
  
• Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery.
  
• Develop a knowledge of relevant legislation such as, welfare benefit and housing legislation.
  

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people including clients, other staff, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
• Ability to maintain motivation for a high level of contact with clients and to adopt an assertive approach when required.
• Administrative skills including the ability to familiarise yourself with IT applications and basic computing skills.
