This is an exciting opportunity to work within the newly formed Mental Wellness Team in Conwy. We work closely with partners, and other services to provide specialist support and interventions for people experiencing complex needs due to ongoing psychosocial stresses.

The role of the social worker involves conducting assessments; providing therapeutic interventions; consultation to professionals and other frontline staff; providing guidance and advice to service users and their families, including ‘signposting’; supporting onward referral.

This is exciting opportunity for psychologically-minded, non-judgmental social worker who is looking to consolidate and develop their skills, including assessment, engagement, therapeutic and professional liaison skills. The post holder will access training and excellent supervisory support, while also being enabled to work creatively and with a high level of professional autonomy.

It is essential that the post holder has the ability to travel throughout the County on a regular basis, often to and from remote locations at short notice.

Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
