Child Safeguarding Lawyer
Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Lawyer to work in the Legal Services for North Tyneside. This contract is initially for 6 months which is likely to be extended for the right candidate.
The role:
Your main purpose will be to provide legal advice and advocacy to client functions, committees and officers. You will be working with a team of lawyers based within Legal Services and attending external meetings, courts and tribunals as required.

The role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Legal advice to Committees, members individually, chief officers and officers of relevant departments
- Drafting suitable documentation, proceedings, correspondence and reports as required.
- Attendance at meetings of committees and groups.
- Advocacy in Courts and Tribunals is an essential part of the job and experience in this would be expected
- Participating in an out of hours legal service.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: Law Degree .
- Experience: 2+ years working as a Lawyer.
- Compliance: Up to date documents.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
