VAT Support Accountant

An initial contract role for someone to come in and support a newly formed Finance team with a project surrounding drafting VAT submissions to HMRC.

You will also be involved with the reverse charges, where historical invoices need to be reconciled back.

There is plenty of parking on site but currently the team are working from home, you will be provided with a work laptop and also given flexibility around how your structure your day.

Description

The key aspects of this VAT Support Accountant will be to assist the current finance team and Manager with:

• VAT recharges to historical invoices over the last 6 months
• Reconciling previously submitted VAT
• Preparing draft VAT reports for HMRC

Profile

The VAT Support Accountant, coming into this role must be comfortable with all aspects of VAT and Reconciliations, there is no est background that you must have. The VAT aspects may have been part of a wider finance role or you may have been a specialist, but a strong working understanding of VAT returns, recharges and submissions is essential.

You must also be able to travel for a portion of the week to the clients HQ.

As the post is an initial 4 months, you will ideally be able to start on short notice.
