Temporary Science teacher required at an 11-16 secondary school based in Darwen.

Our client school located in Darwen currently have a temporary Science teaching post following the February half term until the end of the academic year. Due to the current school closures, the start date is dependent on schools fully re-opening in the Spring term. The latest start date would be an April start. The reason for the cover is due to as maternity leave, which may be extended due to having to shield.
  • Full time Science position from February 2021 until July 2021 (TBC)
  • Teacher of Science (Leading a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE, any specialism)
  • Located in Lower Darwen

Due to absence within their Science department, our client school located in Darwen now wish to appoint a temporary Science teacher until the end of the academic year. The incoming Science teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including; planning, marking and attending departmental meetings. The incoming Science teacher must have strong behaviour management.

The Science teacher will have a PGCE specialising within 11-16 and will be confident stretching the learning of GCSE pupils of all abilities. The school have no preference about levels of experience and newly qualified Science teachers are welcome to apply, and NQT induction can be supported for a term.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
