Teaching Personnel NQT pool

Lancashire Primary School

Pay £90 - £135 per day

Teaching Personnel, Lancashire primary branches, work in partnership with schools across the Lancashire area providing Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Learning & SEN support to hundreds of schools across the county.

Teaching Personnel created the NQT pool in April 2020 due to the high demand for NQT’s to start long term roles in September 2019. This need is still evident with schools looking for cost effective ways to support their pupils. Before the school shutdown, the Primary team managed to source 15 NQT’s long term roles, with around 40 actively working on a weekly basis. We are looking to expand and register a ‘pool’ of new NQT’s who are looking to source their first teaching position. We have a number of schools who have expressed and interest in the programme and are hoping to source a candidate though this method. Due to the flexible staffing we offer, schools have approached Teaching Personnel in order to appoint class teachers, intervention teachers, PPA teacher, HLTA’s & teaching assistants by using the NQT pool.

Even with the school shutdown, we still have a vast amount of roles to offer our candidates. This is mainly due to the online learning expectations and the rise in vulnerable and key worker pupils.

We are looking for NQTs who are:

- able to inspire and motivate children by providing high quality teaching and learning experiences

- enthusiastic and creative in their approach

- keen to contribute to our fantastic schools

- committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children

- able to provide references from teaching placements

The programme will enable you to be considered for work in a range of primary schools within the Lancashire area by simply registering with Teaching Personnel & joining the NQT pool. The majority of roles will be full time/long term.

The programme makes it easy for NQTs to find their perfect role with one application.

If you are looking for a single way to apply for your first teaching post, please get in touch with a member of the primary team. We can be contacted on or email

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
