Project Manager - Hazardous Waste

We are looking for an experienced Hazardous Waste Project Manager for an immediate start temporary assignment until March 2022.

Working within the Industry & Waste Team you will be responsible for ensuring that implementation and reporting of the suite of sub-projects fully adheres to procurement practices and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:-

• Developing and maintaining a detailed implementation plan for the hazardous waste reserve spend
• Undertake research as required and produce complex documents that provide advice, guidance or options which others will use and act upon
• Monitor progress against the implementation plan and undertake regular reviews to ensure full delivery of the project within the FTA time period
• Principle point of contact for each sub-project with the relevant UK and Welsh Trade Associations, Government Department and environmental regulators, both UK and European
• Monitoring budgets for financial tracking and reporting project progression

Key Qualifications:-

• Project Management experience, including budget management, management of staff, work programming and successful delivery of projects
• Knowledge of Welsh, UK & EU legislation related to Hazardous Waste
• Experience in informing and influencing government departments & regulators
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to maintain close links with internal and external partners and stakeholders
• Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
