VACANCY â€" Income Officer
Location: Solihull (remote working)
Length: Temporary â€" 3 months, subject to review
Hours: Monday â€" Friday, 9AM â€" 5PM, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £15 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Venn Group is currently recruiting for an Income Officer to assist Income and Awards by processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims and Homecare, Residential and Nursing care, Supporting People, Childrens Assessments, Disabled Facilities Grants.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Assess Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims, Homecare, Residential and Nursing care, Supporting People and Childrens Assessments Financial
- Verification and review of all aspects of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims, Homecare, Residential and Nursing care, Supporting People, Childrens Assessments Financial Assessments
- Work to the guidelines set out in the Housing Benefit Security Guidance and Care Act 2015 and maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant legislation
- Liaise with customers who are experiencing financial difficulty to make a payment arrangement and offer advice on other welfare benefits
- Process and respond to both routine and non-routine correspondence, telephone enquiries and queries from members of the public
- Liaise with other Council directorates and external bodies, in particular the Rent Officer, Housing Associations and social workers
- Deal with daily system output
- Report checking and reconciliation
- Prepare overpayment statements
Essential experience/requirements:
- Full UK drivers’ license and access to own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
