Our client is an Outstanding College situated in Nelson, Lancashire with an excellent local reputation and fantastic employee benefits. They are looking for an enthusiastic and talented HR Advisor to join their team providing vital maternity cover support until December 2017.

Working as part of a close knit team, the successful candidate will be a dynamic HR practitioner and will undertake a wide ranging role involving recruitment, employee relations, professional development and generalist HR activities.

With the ability to quickly build relationships at all levels within the organisation; you will have a good knowledge of employment law and be able to provide College staff with support and guidance across a wide range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, underperformance and grievance proceedings.

A large part of this role is the coordination of the end to end recruitment processes. With previous recruitment experience, the successful candidate will be comfortable utilising a variety of sources to attract and retain the best talent, ensuring that activities undertaken are fresh, fit for purpose, innovative and cost effective.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or equivalent
• CIPD Level 5
• A degree in a relevant subject area (desirable)
• Previous experience of working in a varied and busy HR role
• A good knowledge of employment law

A positive outlook, enthusiasm for HR practices and the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload will enable the successful candidate to make a real contribution to the team in which they'll be operating.
