My client is a respected and established professional business with well-appointed offices in St Ives.

They are currently experiencing a period of positive change and are looking for someone to join their small and busy accounts team.

Your role will focus on purchase ledger but will also encompass more than that duties will include;

* Checking and posting invoices accurately
* Organising and making payments to suppliers on a timely basis
* Handling queries and resolving as appropriate
* Maintaining the purchase ledger function.
* Filing invoices and payments is appropriate
* Liaising with Project teams
* Ad hoc tasks as required from time to time by the Finance Manager to assist in the general running of the department

The successful candidate will understand how accounts operate and ideally be familiar with manual processes and perhaps have a background in bookkeeping.

Alternatively you may be working towards an AAT qualification and be looking for your next opportunity.

Experience of Sage and Excel - particularly the latter - is desirable.

In addition, strong communication skills, a professional approach and the ability to work to deadlines are also very important.
