Our TLC are looking for the following based in Bedfordshire,

RMN / Registered Mental Health Nurse
RNLD / Registered Learning Disability Nurse
& a RGN / Registered General Nurse to come on board and being working their way up to Practice Nurse
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, shifts on rota basis to include days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays

SALARY: GBP14.18 per hour, rising to GBP15.49 following probation period

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
* To co-ordinate and provide the care and treatment of an identified group of patients without direct supervision.
* To assist in the management and organisation of work as required.
* Take responsibility for the development of practice and the delivery of evidence based practice, ensuring that it supports and reflects service user needs.
* Contribute to the development of high quality in-patient services in a changing health care environment.
* Contribute to the implementation of evidence based practice within the area; this work will be supported by the Unit Manager.
* To ensure continuous personal development through the utilisation of regular supervision, annual appraisal and training.

Key Responsibilities
* To effectively run the operations of the unit whilst on shift and provide clear guidance and support to the ASC Link Workers / Practitioners.
* Effectively communicate sensitive information to patients and/or relatives and carers concerning the physical and/or psychological condition of the patient.
* Attend meetings and forums, representing the hospital at various levels as required.
* Ensuring that all clinical and other information is gathered, stored and passed on to relevant hospital service/personnel. In addition ensure that all written and electronically stored information is accessible only to authorised personnel and is stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
* Ensuring the development and maintenance of systems for effective communication with all patients, carers, visitors, staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* Suitable knowledge of ASC and its implications.
* Full understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Independent Hospitals.
* Understanding of the need for setting, monitoring and evaluation of overall standards of care and practice on the hospital, in consultation with the staff and Multi-disciplinary team.
* Ensuring awareness of the standards of professional behaviour.
* Undertake a review of care on an on-going basis.
* Ensuring compliance with the systems in place, which invite patients and their carers to comment on the quality of services they receive.
* Applied understanding of clinical audit, ensuring an ongoing review of care is undertaken.
* Ability to demonstrate applied understanding of clinical risk assessment and management
