RICS, the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction, is now looking for an experienced and accomplished Head of Reward to join their existing team.

The Head of Reward is a member of the HR Leadership team with specific responsibility for shaping and leading the global total rewards strategy in line with RICS' strategic objectives and long-range vision.

The role is responsible for all compensation and benefits, pension, and international assignment strategies, and acts as Secretary to the Remuneration Committee. The role is also responsible for reward policies and remuneration practices including the design and delivery of new reward initiatives and revising current programmes.

This is a global role which is accountable for driving reward activities forward across the geographies in which RICS operates, ensuring that we offer a competitive and legally compliant reward package across all of our markets in a cost effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Development and implementation of the reward strategy to include: incentive plan management, salary benchmarking, pension management, benefits management and annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review
* Accountable for the reward budget
* Development and delivery of people analytics to identify trends and deliver solutions.
* Manage RICS' global insured benefits, including private medical, Group Income Protection, Critical Illness, Life Cover.
* Preparation of papers for Remuneration Committee, as Secretary to the Committee organising meetings and preparation of minutes.
* Engaging with the key stake holders in the organisation regularly identifying opportunities to improve our compensation and benefits arrangements.
* Leading the core cyclical reward activities including annual salary review and bonus payments.
* Managing benefits change projects including working with brokers to manage benefits packages, creating benefit tools and material and streamlining processes.
* Design and implementation of compensation and benefits structures for new markets.
* Represent the organisation on external reward matters as required
* Overall accountability for international assignments and all policies relating to international mobility. This will include a generic knowledge of immigration, expatriate taxation and mobility practices
* Design and implement appropriate and intuitive schemes as required such as short-term bonus scheme, long-term bonus scheme, recognition and cash-award merit
* Act as Secretary to the Remuneration Committee; working with the Chair in the preparation of papers and managing the relationship with the RemCo Advisers.

Knowledge & Experience:

* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and professionally qualified
* Recognised specialist with extensive experience as a reward consultant in managing, developing and delivering reward strategies
* Proven ability in all aspects of reward and benefits in an international context
* Experience of managing the global mobility of employees on an expatriate and local basis
* Experience of preparation of papers for Remuneration Committee meetings
* Experience of rewards and benefits management on an international scale
* Knowledge of pension legislation
* Experience of working with flexible benefits systems and an understanding of salary sacrifice legislation
* Knowledge of other professional bodies, profit for purpose bodies
* Experience of job evaluation
* Experience of HR systems; ability to navigate and reporting requirements.


* Highly commercial and able to align reward policy to business objectives
* Strong management skills to provide technical leadership to reward specialists across reward, pensions and global mobility disciplines
* Advanced excel and financial modelling skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with people at all levels and across diverse nationalities.
* Ability to challenge and influence at all levels across the organisation
* Cultural awareness and sensitivity
* Excellent project management skills
* Highly motivated individual who is able to operate under pressure with a number of conflicting priorities
