Our client employs over 40 local people in a variety of technical, financial and administrative roles. Based at its new, purpose built headquarters in Bury St Edmunds, it also has offices in Ipswich and at various housing schemes across East Anglia. they are a high performing organisation owning and managing nearly 3,000 affordable homes across the region.

They currently have a vacancy for a Finance Officer who will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records relating to fixed assets, cash flow and loan debt. Also ensuring that finance colleagues have accurate data available when needed and that treasury actions are anticipated and prepared in advance. Good working knowledge of software packages including Word and Excel is required to carry out the role, with experience of housing management systems being desirable.

The successful candidate will have the ability to produce work accurately to specified deadlines and timescales in an efficient manner. You will be able to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy, minimum requirement GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics. Solid experience in accounting roles is essential, preferably with fixed asset accounting and transaction processing with an AAT qualification being desirable.

Importantly, you will be someone whose values are similar to our client- value relationships, work with integrity and efficiency, be approachable, innovative and creative. The successful candidate will be a valued member of the Finance team, and although you will work with minimum supervision, be flexible in your approach and attitude, you can rely on a strong network of support from your colleagues at.
