Adecco are proud to be working with one of our highly successful, global clients who are looking to expand their team and recruit a Lab Services Team Leader to join their team in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brilliant company and contribute to their overall success.

An outline of the duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Line management responsibility for a team of 6-10 associates.
- Single point of contact for Lab services on site.
- Provides day to day operational management of the team to ensure clarity on service expectations, technical guidance and future strategy.
- Provides laboratory expertise and scientific knowledge to support and develop the laboratory services team.
- Provides hands-on, operational support to ensure continuity of service in the event of holiday or sickness.
- Develops and reports on KPIs, relevant metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks.
- Confidently prepares and presents high quality service overviews and status reports for the customer where required.
- Proactively identifies and implements efficiency and process improvement projects.
- Leads work to investigate deviations from SLAs by route cause analysis and reports back findings and plans to customer.
- Creates, maintains and updates relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training e.g. SOPs, new starter documentation, training logs etc.
- Works with the customer to implement and review training of the team to ensure all are working to a consistent level with defined training matrices.
- Ensures development opportunities are available for the onsite team and actively seeks to develop skills and identify training gaps.
- Builds effective working relationships with the customer teams and facilities organisations to provide a collaborative, open and honest approach to service delivery.
- Seeks regular feedback and uses data to implement service improvements.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have previous experience in managing a team, the ability to work collaboratively and strong influencing skills. You must also meet the following requirements:

- Ability to influence people at all levels to deliver improvements and cost savings to the customer.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving capabilities and confidence to make clear decisions sometimes with limited information.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, analytical and networking skills.
- Project management skills, ability to be flexible and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting utilising various IT systems particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory is highly advantageous, as is knowledge of lean sigma processes.
