What you will do:

The purpose of the Finance Team Leader is to lead the Finance Technical Teams. This consists of the Reconciliation and Treasury teams. The primary contract is the Teachers' Pensions Scheme (TPS) of England and Wales but a number of other schemes are administered in additional. The Reconciliation team is responsible for all scheme bank and control account reconciliations with TPS alone featuring GBP6billion in income and GBP9billion in expenditure. The Treasury team is responsible for the daily funding and defunding of all scheme bank accounts as well as the accounts payable function. You will be responsible for the daily management and development of eight members of staff and liaising with a number of key stakeholders both within the business and externally, i.e. Clients, HMRC, etc. A full study and rewards package is available to the right candidate.

This is a challenging and pivotal role within the successful Scheme Finance Department here at Lingfield Point in Darlington reporting to the Finance Operations Manager.

Your experience will include:

Finance experience, including reconciliation & treasury exposure
*

Strong administration and leadership skills with a focus on embedding and monitoring key control measures.
*

Strong Excel & Word skills
*

Able to demonstrate ability and flexibility to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.
*

Ideally AAT qualified, or nearing qualification
*

Ideally have supervisory experience
