A Payroll Manager is required to join a busy accountancy practice to lead the existing team at a time of increased workload due to growth and auto-enrolment. The firm has recently moved to new offices. This is a full-time position.

The Payroll Manager will take responsibility for:

• Processing the client weekly / monthly payrolls (including payslips, end of year, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, P45, P60, P35, and CSA).
• Dealing with queries from clients and HMRC.
• Dealing with end of tax year procedures.
• Administration duties associated with payroll.
• Managing one part-time team member and training new team members.

Skills & Experience:

• An experienced payroll clerk / administrator
• Confident, proactive self-starter, who can work on their own initiative
• Flexible, with the ability to juggle changing priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Good organisational skills, diligence and accuracy essential.
• A good team player and communicator.
• Good level of Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
• Experience of Star payroll software desirable, however training will be provided.
• Experience within an Accountancy Practice preferred.
