Person Specification

You will be an experienced History Teacher or approaching the end of your teacher training as an NQT. If you're an NQT you will have been graded as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' on your professional placements. You will need excellent subject knowledge of the curriculum up to A Level and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching history, making it fun and engaging for the pupils under your guise. You will need to be hard working and dedicated to getting the most from all you teach.

About this role

You will join a fantastic humanities department with a team of 6 full time teachers and additional support staff. The Head of Humanities is an approachable and reliable source of information and help, especially to NQTs. The school require a History Teacher to work across the three Key Stages including teaching at A Level. There will be the chance to join the history teams regular days out to places of historical interest in the U.K. The Humanities department have a strong tradition of academic success, which the appointed History teacher will need to uphold through delivering lessons of outstanding quality.

My client's secondary academy is an average sized state school catering for pupils between 11 and 18. The school has a small but expanding sixth form with roughly 100 pupils.
