My client are looking to expand their in house Hazard Communication department by adding a new consultant to the team on a permanent basis.

Working in collaboration with the management team, IT team and consultancy staff, it is expected that the successful candidate will undertake regulatory assessments of client hazard communication documentation via the internal cloud based IT solution for the regulatory and environmental management of chemicals.

Skill, experience and qualifications required:

• At a minimum, an MSc or above in environmental sciences or equivalent experience.
• Working understanding of the architecture of b2b SaaS platforms for the regulatory and environmental management of chemicals essential.
• Extensive knowledge of global classification systems (EU CLP, GHS, WHMIS etc.) required.
• Demonstrable experience of working with large multinational companies in various sectors (e.g. automotive, aerospace, retail, tobacco, petcare, oil and gas) essential.
• Fluency in English essential; additional languages a significant advantage.

Typical Duties

• Anaylse, process and quality check client hazard communication documentation to ensure compliance with global chemical regulations, including, but not restricted to: EU CLP, REACH, WHMIS, HazCom 2012 etc.
• Utilise the internal SaaS platform to assist clients with global regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients to ensure the functionality of the SaaS solution is fit for purpose and identify future system enhancements.
• In collaboration with software engineers, develop functional methodology to facilitate the efficient update of the internal SaaS solution.
• Analyse client datasets and identify and implement effective mechanisms to input hazard communication data into the internal SaaS solution
