The role of Employer Engagement Adviser requires the post holder to develop the employability skills of clients on their caseload and achieve targets for sustained employment for a minimum of 26 weeks.The post holder will support clients to achieve the actions in their Individual Development Plans. The role also includes the placement of clients within relevant work placement opportunities which will provide clients with additional experience and increase their confidence. The post holder will be expected to sell the clients' skills to prospective employers and carve out employment opportunities.

The post holder should have the enthusiasm and drive to succeed in a role where sales, performance and achieving challenging targets is essential. The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels is essential.

This programme of delivery would suit someone with experience of working within Welfare to Work programmes or a recruitment consultancy. The overall programme is funded according to achievement of results and therefore the contract is for 6 months in the first instance, with a review of group and individual performance after 3 months. An appreciation of pan disability support is necessary. An understanding of end to end support is important from initial assessment, delivery of support and in work support, as well as identification of suitable employers and appropriate placements.
